Cambodia enjoys a tropical climate with only two seasons: dry and rainy, which in turn are the product of the regular cycle governing monsoon rainfall index. Thus, between the months of November to April northeast monsoon prevails, which brings with it a little rainfall and is characterized by cold dry winds.
  
By contrast, from May to October monsoon component change and arrives from the southwest, bringing with him a lot of humidity from the ocean, causing heavy rains accompanied by strong winds and high temperature. As regards the latter variable, the hottest month is April, when the thermometer can reach more than 35
˚c.  While the softer January, to keep the average around 20 ˚cHowever, both temperature and moisture tend to maintain high throughout the year, what we call warmth is present at all times.
  
With respect to the rains, these can reach more than 5.000mm. Year in the highlands, while in the central plateau  maintained around 1.400mm. in the same period. During the rainy season the showers tend to be violent but short, and tend to fall mainly in the afternoon.
